It seems to Caroline and I that the perfect design is \u003ci\u003eeveryday\u003c\/i\u003e design, things that can be used in multiple circumstances.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWe want this range to be absolutely \u003ci\u003etrue\u003c\/i\u003e; true to our taste, truly useful, stylish and well made.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWe don’t \u003ci\u003eneed\u003c\/i\u003e to do this range, we just \u003ci\u003ewant\u003c\/i\u003e to. Does that make sense?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe photographs here will, we hope, underline that having been shot on proper film and reminding us deeply of the holidays that we both so enjoyed at Glen Dye before we moved here (a long time ago!).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eTo the parka.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThis parka is our perfect coat. It’s our idea of a kind of ‘the only coat you need if you have just one’. Not that we do have just one, but you know what I mean.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eIt is made in England using British fabrics (the waxed cotton is woven by the fabled Halley Stevensons). Here we have a dry wax (deep, peaty brown) and a wet wax (dark green). Both are excellent fabrics. I prefer the dry wax, Caroline the wet. Hence two parkas.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eBoth are fully lined in a lovely black cotton, making it comfortable and a bit warmer. We have not built it so much for warmth because it is a year-round thing and it is gently oversized to both accommodate a thick jumper \u003ci\u003eand\u003c\/i\u003e look good on a warmer day without that jumper. (Plus, I hate being too hot).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eTo the hood. Not everyone loves a hood, but the truth is that they are the most useful way of keeping your head and neck dry in a proper downpour. You can use a hat, and you can use a scarf, but a big, peaked hood is best. And we believe that this hood works perfectly \u003ci\u003eand \u003c\/i\u003elooks good with the bulk and length of the coat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eI think this looks great over a suit or whatever but also works on rain-drenched moorland.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWhat else? Well, there are sturdy snap buttons and a chunky two-way zip and two deep side pockets with flaps.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWe believe in this and we think that you will too. It isn’t a cheap bit of kit, but I hope you’ll see that its value is real.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWe have experienced delays with the manufacture here; they are brilliant, so it will be worth the wait, but….
