The point of this tiny range of goods is to create things that we truly, genuinely believe in and that we would use at Glen Dye and -crucially- in every other place that we go. It seems to Caroline and I that the perfect design is everyday design, things that can be used in multiple circumstances.

We want this range to be absolutely true; true to our taste, truly useful, stylish and well made.

We don’t need to do this range, we just want to. Does that make sense?

The photographs here will, we hope, underline that having been shot on proper film and reminding us deeply of the holidays that we both so enjoyed at Glen Dye before we moved here (a long time ago!).

To the bag.

This lightweight, beautifully considered and roomy bag has been conceived as our perfect one. I mean, everyone needs a useful bag whatever they say, and this is our manifestation of an ideal quotidian one. It will last forever, aging well, never failing you.

It is big enough for a night away but also designed for time in the hills or trawling through a capital city on a day or museums, shops and restaurants.

There is a reinforced base for shape and volume, a storm flap at the top to keep rain out, your stuff in place and to add a bit of privacy/security. The beautiful waxed cotton is woven by the famous Hayley Stevensons and the cotton lining is woven in Britain too.

There are two pockets inside and, most importantly, an adjustable length strap that allows it to work on your shoulder or in your hands; this is a really important feature and relatively rare because it adds so much cost to the product. But, well, no expense has been spared here.
