You can judge a person by the quality of their luggage. Having said that, most rucksacks are -how can I put this politely?- not very nice. These, au contraire, are very nice. Canvas, leather, suede, steel. Oodles of style, and of comfort too. Made in England. I mean, come on!

The tubular steel frame connects to the hip belt and is incredibly effective at distributing weight through the body, and particularly into the hips and legs. The concept was invented in Norway in 1909, as an evolution of American military packs of the 1880s. Sometimes the old ideas are the best and I am not sure that this concept has ever been bettered.

So, that’s where the comfort starts, but not where it ends.
