Getting this right took ages. It’s surprisingly hard to get a great scent and perfect packaging. But here it is; we’ve done it.
 
We were inspired by the storied libraries of country houses such as our homes at Hawarden and Glen Dye; this candle is earthy, warming and richly comforting. This is the scent of fine ancient books, the smouldering embers of a log fire, maybe a glass of good whisky.
 
Hand-poured in Britain by our friend Anastasia in the Cotswolds and supplied in a tailored box by W. MacCarthy & Sons of Woolwich, fifth-generation box makers established in 1880 and the only British box maker who makes stapled boxes in colour. The foiled, embossed stickers are made in North Wales.
 
We are really proud of this. In a highly competitive market, this stands out by smelling amazing, lasting ages, looking beautiful and being made entirely in Britain.
