OURS Chutneys
Our bestselling jams and preserves are made for Hawarden Estate by our friend, and champion of great produce, Elspeth at Rosebud Preserves in Yorkshire.
OURS Traditional Piccalilli
A proper garden pickle, made with carefully prepared vegetables, unrefined cane sugar and just enough vinegar to bring everything together. Bright, crunchy and gently piquant, this piccalilli is best placed alongside Camembert, roast ham and fresh bread.
OURS Fig Chutney
Juicy figs, molassed sugar, cinnamon and fresh orange come together in this rich, piquant chutney.
Traditionally made by hand from fresh ingredients and slowly cooked in open pans with unrefined cane sugar, aromatic spices and a splash of vinegar, it has a deep, rounded flavour made for cold roast ham and sharp farmhouse cheddar.
OURS Red Onion and Port Marmalade
Partner this with cheese. It really adds something.
Sweet red onions, molasses sugar and ruby port give this marmalade a full-bodied, savoury and piquant quality. Apply liberally alongside Stilton and your favourite cold cuts.
OURS Tomato and Chilli Jam
Ripe tomatoes, fresh ginger and chilli make up this warm, rich and thick-textured jam, with unrefined sugar bringing everything into balance. A gentle heat and savoury depth makes it equally at home on a cheeseboard or hidden between two slices of good bread.
Did you know: almost every tomato ever eaten was pollinated by the humble bumblebee. In Britain, bumblebees are the only insect capable of pollinating tomato and chilli plants via 'buzz pollination', vibrating their flight muscles at exactly the right frequency to release pollen.
OURS Beer Fruit Chutney
The kind of chutney you wish your local served alongside the bar snacks.
Deep, dark and thick with plump dried fruits, warming allspice and Ampleforth Abbey Beer. For best results, pair with Wensleydale and an interesting cheddar on your next cheeseboard.
